Pam Thurschwell is a Reader in English at the University of Sussex and the author of Literature, Technology and Magical Thinking, 1880–1920 (2001) and the Routledge Critical Thinkers, Sigmund Freud (2nd edition, 2009) . She recently edited Quadrophenia and Mod(ern) Culture (Palgrave, 2017). She likes writing about Henry James and pop music and is currently working on a book on adolescence and time travel.
