Woke up and saw a teapot full of tea. I was little drunk last night and came home wanted to have tea and I made it but before I took a sip I just fell asleep.
I dreamed about entering new love and knew who would be in the dream but in real life I dont think that person is the one. I turned on my computer and sent one email, had yakiniku (japanese bbq) last night and inside of my body was so garlicky I needed to drink some milk but I never buy milk… the reason is it’s always a pressure for me to finish drinking all the milk before the expiration date, also when I was little I didn’t like milk, so.
I went to a coffee stand and ordered matcha latte there. Spelling matcha is so funny, it doesn’t make sense for me it’s more like maccha. Sometime mocha looks like maccha to me and it’s confusing. Mochi and mocha is pretty close, too. Anyway after that I bought tissue boxes. I feel the existence of tissue is such a waste but I keep using it which is my bad. Someday I’ll quit. The outside was raining a bit. I had an umbrella. I was wearing the same pants from last night and last night was pouring rain so it was still wet, it’s been raining a lot in Tokyo. Came back home.
I was about to start editing my new movie shot in this summer. Then someone who worked on the film texted me to see if I kept a receipt for a costume. Then I had to go through all the receipts from the shoot, then I also had to deal with an inbound from a movie theater here where they played my two feature films in spring. And it was taken care of, so I started to edit. But then I had to take care of my tank top. It smelled really bad because one of my tshirts started to smell really really bad. Then I was wearing that tank top underneath, so it made that tank top smell really bad too, I put baking soda in hot water then I put in the tank top. Ok finally I went back to edit. I started editing but it was really hard, something is not right then I couldn’t go forward.
I started to wonder about how all the movies start so I browsed the first five minutes of movies from Netflix in Japan. But when I was watching them, it was so clear the programming of Japanese Netflix sucks. I didn’t enjoy those films’ first five minutes which means the rest might be the same too so I took out my hard drive which has many films in. Many films take three minutes to introduce the essence of the film. The five minutes is like the second beginning or let’s say a scene with an office where the main character works is shown how the main character lives his/her life. After watching 15 films or something I quit then went back to my film.
I decided to forget about all the other films and just do whatever I want. But the editing was still not going forward. I started to doubt something wrong with sound and I started to look for a mood of the sound went for sound to sound. I just got a new speaker which is fun but the editing not going forward is not fun. After dealing with a bunch of sounds somehow it started to lead me to a scene I should work on. Now I knew what was next and I should just work on that part first. I’m self taught so I have to try everything out. I wonder how professional editors work. My impression of professional editors are that they’re like munchies, they gotta have something to chew on while they’re editing. It might be something to do with the rhythm of the film and chewing things and being stimulated. One editor I knew was always chewing gum, another editor I met eats speedy drugs. So each one of them has their munchies.
I had to go to one of my best friends’ restaurant’s 6th anniversary bar thing so I had to quit editing at one point then I started to cook pasta for myself with a special kind of cabbage I forgot how it’s called, and anchovies. I smashed a couple cucumbers with sesame and shiso with soy vinegar sesame oil mixed. That was my dinner then I went to the bar thing, saw a few friends and talked about our life and had wines and fried potato seasoned with some smoked bonito flakes powder, or—I still wonder what it was, but it was good.
When this restaurant opened. I waxed the floor with olive oil, that I remember. On the way back home at 1:30 a.m. I was walking in Shibuya and one guy came from behind and told me do you have some time from now? Then he looked at my face and said sorry, and ran away…! So rude… Also, I think he thought I was a girl from the back, then when he saw my face and how he said sorry to me it totally seemed like he might have thought I was not a girl but a boy and then he freaked out or something. No boys picked up on me like that for maybe 18 years so the event was such a random surprise refreshing memories… What happened to me those 18 years…??? I went home then I took out some empty glass bins outside for the garbage collectors, then I went to sleep with my sleeping bag on my sofa bed…
