Midnight. Maiko Endo. Tokyo, Japan.
I never watch soccer but I did last night at the only Croatian restaurant in Tokyo. What I saw last night in summary is the red and white checkers and bunch of Croatian beer bottles. Croatians living in Japan and Japanese who have lived in Croatia watching the game together. No one was eating Croatian food, just chips and snacks salamis. I only could distinguish the pony tail player from all the soccer players. There was a cute charming Croatian boy sitting close to me who said “small country victories.” After the game came to 4-1 people were so down.
Then two chicks arrived at the restaurant in mini skirts. They had a male friend already watching the game here and the guy said to them the game is over but as soon Croatia got one goal those chicks were laughing. People watch the game so seriously, then I started to hear those chicks started to talk about 911 and one of them’s mom is a translator and a piano teacher here. They were not focusing on the game at all.
At last Croatia was defeated those chicks started to leave but as they were leaving trying to hook up with this cutie American boy who was with the cutie Croatian boy. The chicks were going to clubbing. The cutie Croatian boy seemed not interested in at all and he just started to join the taking picture party between Croatian people. Then a chubby Korean girl who was with those boys screamed at them — celebrity! Apparently the cutie Croatian boy is the super famous hip-hop singer in Korean. As he finished taking pictures with people he said we gotta go get fucked up tomorrow. He also said I’m proud of such a small country. His boyfriend was watching French president on screen and said “He’s fucking hot.”
